Tips for Tegucigalpa

Restaurant tip

Looking for a good splurge restaurant in Tegucigalpa? Go to La Cumbra. It’s about 1 mile further then El Picanco (the park with the Jesus statue) and has a magnificent view over the town. Make reservations to make sure you get a table. Be there at 16:30 to see the sun go down over whole Tegus. Prices: 180 to 280 Lempiras (10 to 20 US$) for the main course and 65 L for a glass of wine, 350-500L for a bottle. Well worth it. Collectivo’s (here called Rapeditos) for 6,5 Lempiras start from near the National Theatre in the centre of town.
